This super easy no-cook recipe will make breakfast time a breeze every single morning and the best bit is you will never NOT have the time to have breakfast ever again. I usually make this recipe while I’m in the kitchen cooking dinner and making lunches for the next day. There are so many variations to this recipe and once you get the hang of it you can start getting creative to come up with your own unique variations.
Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 4-12 hours to soak
Approx 2 cups Gluten Free Rolled Oats
3-4 scoops Chia Seeds
Raw Honey (I only use and recommend raw unfiltered honey, not the cheap stuff from the supermarket)
Almond Milk (or any milk alternative)
1 x Banana Sliced
1 x Cup Raspberries
You will need a large glass jar with a wide opening and a lid.
Begin by placing a few pieces of sliced banana on the bottom of the jar and then start layering all the ingredients like so –
1/2 cup oats
1 scoop chia seeds
a few slices of banana
1 heaped teaspoon almond butter
1 teaspoon raw honey
Continue repeating through the layers until you have used up all the ingredients, leaving at least 4-5 cms at the top of the jar for the milk and soaking.
Cover with Almond Milk (or milk alternative) ensuring there is adequate liquid for the chia and oats to soak overnight, leaving about 2 cms for the oats and chia to expand.
I like to use a butter knife and press all the way to the bottom of the jar a few times to allow the milk to reach the bottom of the jar.
Secure tightly with lid and place in the fridge to soak overnight.
In the morning you will have the yummiest, creamy breakfast that is ready to go! This also makes a great morning or afternoon snack too.
