Banana and Kale Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Weekends are for experimenting in the kitchen and I LOVE nothing more than creating food that almost looks too good to eat! This Banana and Kale Smoothie Bowl Recipe was inspired by some of the gorgeous photos splashed all over Instagram and I just had to create my own.

A satisfying breakfast full of nutritious whole foods, this recipe will only take you about 5 minutes to make and you’ll be so glad that you took the time to do it. More satisfying than a regular smoothie, since you can’t slurp this one down in 30 seconds flat, it’ll leave you feeling fuller for longer.

Now that’s a winner.

Banana and Kale Smoothie Bowl Recipe



Large handful baby spinach and/or baby kale

1 small avocado or 1/2 large avocado

1/2 frozen banana

Teaspoon raw honey

1/2 cup almond milk (approx)



Banana slices

Chia seeds

Slivered almonds

or anything you like!


Place all the smoothie ingredients in a blender and blend until a smooth creamy consistency (you may need to add a little more almond milk here if too thick).

Pour smoothie into a bowl and get creative decorating any way you like!

{Serves 1-2 depending on how hungry you are}
